Jajangmyeon and Black Day

In Korea there are some holiday traditions relating to Valentine's Day...

February 14th is Red Day when women give chocolate to their romantic interests.

March 14th is White Day when men give non-chocolate candy to women.

April 14th is Black Day when those single people who did not get gifts on either previous holiday get together and eat jajangmyeon.

LOL.

Jajangmyeon (짜장면) is a dish of wheat noodles topped with a thick sauce made from salty black soybean paste, diced pork, and vegetables. Although I did not celebrate Black Day, I have had lunch at this well-known restaurant in Seomyeon that serves super tasty jajangmyeon.

From inside the restaurant, you can see the cooks hand making the noodles.

Jajangmyeon would make any loner feel good.

The tangsuyuk was also bomb.

Directions to the restaurant
From Seomyeon Station, take Exit 5 and once on the street make a U-turn. You should be walking towards Lotte Department Store. Take the left on the street just before Lotte.  Walk down about 50 meters and the restaurant is on the corner.
